Our Mission

Hayu is a joint venture between Toquaht, Ehattesaht/Chinehkint, Nuchatlaht and Hesquiaht First Nation that is designed to bring fisheries opportunities to the members of the Nation’s respective communities and develop sustainable fisheries based on traditional principles. The partners are committed to working respectfully together to combine their knowledge, cultural teachings and resources to ensure our ocean garden flourishes and provides prosperity and health to our grandchildren’s children.
